The incident occurred late in the third term, when Fyfe flung his leg at Koby Stevens deep inside the Dockers forward 50, in an attempt to tackle the young Bulldog.
If suspended, Fyfe would immediately become ineligible to win the Brownlow Medal.
Fyfe has a poor record in terms of suspensions, so there will be a lot of attention on the incident throughout the early part of this week.
