Tigers in hot water

Daniel Connors' time at the Richmond Football Club is in serious doubt as the Tigers investigate allegations of poor off-field behaviour from the 23-year-old and team-mate Dustin Martin.

Connors and 21-year-old team-mate Martin have spent Wednesday morning with Richmond club officials.

While Martin is likely to be suspended for an as-yet unidentified off-field misdemeanour, Connors could be sacked after he was given a final chance last year.

Connors was suspended by the Tigers for 12 games during the pre-season for alcohol-related issues, which meant the midfielder played his first match of the year in a Round 12 win over GWS.

That internal club ban followed an eight-game suspension from AFL duties in 2010 for similar behaviour.

The incident involving Connors and Martin continues a disastrous week for Richmond who have already lost Tyrone Vickery to a shoulder injury for the rest of the season.

Dylan Grimes faces a month on the sidelines with a hamstring problem and Daniel Jackson has copped a two-game suspension for striking the Crows' Chris Knights.
