Heath Hocking and Brent Harvey have also escaped sanctions but GWS's Jeremy Cameron has been hit with a one-week suspension.

Sidebottom was reported shortly after the opening bounce of Friday night's clash with St Kilda, when he collected Maverick Weller with a stray elbow during an attempted bump.

Weller was concussed in the incident and had to be subbed out of the game.

The panel graded the incident as reckless, high impact and high contact. The initial penalty was a four-match suspension but he can have it reduced to three if he pleads guilty.

The MRP did asses the high bump that Goodes delivered Geelong skipper Selwood at the SCG on Thursday night.

But the panel found that "Goodes jumps in an attempt to contest the ball and braces for contact.

"Contact is made. It was the view of the panel the contact made was below that required to constitute a reportable offence."

Cameron was reported during the second quarter of the Giants' loss to Hawthorn at the MCG on Sunday.

After charging into the sentre square, he had made front-on contact with Hawthorn's Jarryd Roughead, although Roughead was not injured and was able to play out the match.

Port Adelaide forward Jay Schulz was also cited for striking Melbourne midfielder Neville Jetta during the final quarter of the Power's win in Alice Springs on Saturday but he can escape with a reprimand.

The panel found that North Melbourne veteran Harvey's open hand to the jaw of West Coast tagger Scott Selwood was "below that required to constitute a reportable offence".

And it judged the high contact that in-form Essendon defender Hocking made with Richmond youngster Ben Lennon was unavoidable.
