Saints lose Dal Santo

St Kilda has suffered a setback ahead of Saturday's top-of-the-table clash against Collingwood with the late withdrawal of Nick Dal Santo.

Back tightness is the cause, but there was no indication that the 26-year-old was in any doubt leading up to the match.

Replaced in the 22 by Sean Dempster, Dal Santo had played in all 15 of the Saints' matches so far this season and had been in career-best form.

The Collingwood side is unchanged.

Meanwhile, Brad Sewell, who was dropped for poor form, has won a reprieve as the late inclusion for Lance Franklin in the Hawthorn 22 to take on the Brisbane Lions in Launceston.

Franklin pulled out on Friday because of an ankle injury picked up at training earlier in the week.

Hawks skipper Sam Mitchell has been named to play despite appearing to be hampered at training on Friday by a broken bone in his hand sustained against the Western Bulldogs a fortnight ago.
