Richmond forward Jack Riewoldt has capped off a superb season by winning the Jack Dyer Medal at the Tigers' best and fairest count on Wednesday night.

Riewoldt booted 78 goals in 22 matches to take out the Coleman Medal in a stellar season that included a 10-goal haul against West Coast in Round 12.

The exciting 21-year-old becomes the first player in Richmond's history to win the competition's leading goalkicker award and the club's best and fairest in the same season.

He finished the count with 210 votes to edge out skipper Chris Newman (204) and two-time winner Brett Deledio (193).

Dustin Martin's superb debut season took him to fourth place with 159 votes, while veteran Shane Tuck (153), who began the year in the reserves, rounded out the top five.
