What happened
On a miserably cold day in Canberra, the in-form Power held the Giants at arm's length for most of the afternoon before finishing with a 35-point win.

Schulz's haul makes him the outright leader in the Coleman Medal race, with 24 majors for the season.

The Power booted 5.3 in each quarter.

The Giants burst out of the blocks, booting three of the first four goals.

But when the game opened up, the visitors responded with seven straight goals and went into half-time leading by 32 points.

Just as the Giants were playing themselves back into the game during the third term, the Port Adelaide piled on three unanswered goals to lead the Giants by 39 points at the final break.

The hosts rallied again early in the last term, but Port did what top four teams do and comfortably repelled the challenge.

Jared Polec was best on ground, kicking three goals and had 30 silky touches. Angus Monfires also booted three in his return from injury, as did Chad Wingard and Matt White.

The Power drop to second on the ladder following Hawthorn's massive percentage booster over St Kilda.

Fallout
Schulz was paying as much as $32 for the Coleman Medal before the season. But his latest bag of goals and the Power's hot start to 2014 means he is likely to be favourite by the end of the round.

Hawthorn's Luke Breust is currently second with 21 goals, while Geelong's Tom Hawkins has 18 majors for the season and plays against Richmond on Sunday.

Hope he's in my fantasy team
Giants skipper Callan Ward topped the fantasy scoring with 40 disposals including eight tackles.

Jared Polec (30 touches) and Robbie Gray (30) were the major scorers for the winners.

What's next
Port Adelaide hosts Fremantle at Adelaide Oval on Saturday afternoon in what shapes as one of the matches of the round next weekend.

GWS travels west to meet West Coast on Sunday at Paterson Stadium.
