Skill – Matt Moylan

With just over five minutes to go and the game in the balance, Penrith Panthers full back Matt Moylan executed a 38-yard field goal to earn his side a one-point win against the Manly Sea Eagles.

Mental toughness – Mathew Leckie

The flying Socceroo winger scored the equaliser from the penalty spot as FC Ingolstadt won promotion to the Bundeliga after a 2-1 win against Red Bull Leipzig.

Success with Ingolstadt tops off a magnificent six months for Leckie after lifting the Asian Cup with the Socceroos in January.

Endurance – Mark Milligan

The Victory captain won the Joe Marston Medal for his brilliant performance in the A-League Grand Final victory against Sydney FC.

Milligan worked tirelessly for the 90 minutes, constantly thwarting Sydney attacks, forming the backbone of Victory's third championship.
