The club announced on Tuesday that ruckman Nicholls had signed a two-year contract extension with the club and to celebrate that, they allowed him to take over the Suns Instagram account on Wednesday afternoon.
And Nicholls used his time to post this:
The ruckman also added this message to the picture: "BREAKING NEWS: Gary Ablett has been cleared to play this weekend after a remarkable recovery on the track this week. The two-time brownlow medalist attributes his miracle recovery to a new form of physiotherapy implemented by the club. A spokesperson for the club has confirmed that it was Nicholls pulling a prank and said Ablett would not be returning from a shoulder injury this weekend.
Ablett had surgery on his shoulder last month after injuring it against Collingwood, ruling him out for the rest of the season.
Since then, the Suns have won just one match and slipped out of the top eight, although they remain in with a small chance of playing in a maiden finals series if they win their last three games.
