What happened

Riewoldt has kicked 11 goals in Richmond's 113-points thrashing of the GWS Giants at Spotless Stadium in western Sydney.

Riewoldt found himself in trouble midweek when he said the Tigers had failed in their attempt to copy the game style of reigning premier Hawthorn.

But Richmond put in its best performance of the season, one that even the Hawks would be proud of, although it came against meek opposition.

The game was comfortably over at half-time and the rest of the afternoon's focus was on Riewoldt's growing haul.

He had a remarkable 11 goals on the board by three-quarter time, but could only manage two behinds in the final term.

The Giants trailed by 64 points at half-time, as they kicked just one goal in the first two quarters, but they could only manage five goals for the entire game.

Riewoldt has kicked 19 of his 28 goals this season against lowly sides GWS, Brisbane Lions and the Bulldogs.

It was Richmond's third win of the season and lifts the Tigers into 12th place on the ladder, easing pressure on under-fire coach Damien Hardwick.

Fallout

GWS's performance, in front of just 8,331 fans at Spotless Stadium, will sting first-year coach Leon Cameron.

Not for the first time this season, the Giants' back six put in a listless display.

The Giants conceded 11.0 to West Coast's Josh Kennedy just a fortnight ago and Riewoldt had the same number on the board after just three quarters of this game.

They have conceded 224 points over the past two rounds against Richmond and West Coast.

There was trouble at the other end of the ground too, where Jeremy Cameron put in another poor game.

The 2013 All Australian had just three kicks and one handball and failed to touch the ball in the first half.

Hope he's in my fantasy team

Richmond had winners all over the ground, with Brandon Ellis, Dustin Martin and 200th-gamer Brett Deledio dominating possession.

Dylan Shiel (34 disposals, eight tackles, seven clearances) could hold his head high for the Giants.

What's next

Richmond's next assignment is the Dreamtime at the 'G blockbuster against Essendon.

A daunting trip to the MCG on Sunday to face premiers Hawthorn is in front of the Giants.
