Heads could roll following AFL demolitions

Carlton’s Mick Malthouse, and Gold Coast’s Rodney Eade are set to come under fire, given their respective side’s poor starts to 2015, and another embarrassing loss for both outfits in Round 8.

The Blues fell to a clumsy, yet effective Geelong on Friday night, to the tune of 77 points.

There have been calls to relieve Malthouse of his coaching duties, given the Blues’ ugly 1-7 record, with many of their losses being blow-out margins.

The Blues currently sit bottom of the AFL Ladder.

However, it is understood that Malthouse will not quit, and the Blues hierarchy refuse to consider sacking the besieged coach until the end of the season.

“It’s not in my DNA (to quit),” said Malthouse, following his side’s disastrous loss to the Cats on Friday night at Etihad Stadium in Melbourne.

Malthouse isn’t the only AFL coach under fire, with Gold Coast Suns’ mentor Rodney Eade also struggling to get his side into gear in 2015.

The Suns sit a lowly 17th on the AFL Ladder, with just the one win in 2015 as well.

Eade can lean on the fact that his Suns’ have been decimated by injury over the first eight rounds of the competition, however his critics will be circling, following the Suns 69-point touch-up at the hands of Collingwood.

Collingwood's Jamie Elliot was enjoying the Suns’ poor form. Take a look at some of his highlights here:
