Goldstein to miss

North Melbourne ruckman Todd Goldstein is set to miss Sunday's clash with West Coast at Subiaco because of a calf injury.

The 22-year-old, who has enjoyed a breakout season in 2010 as a back-up to the club's No.1 ruckman Hamish McIntosh, pulled up sore after last Sunday's loss to St Kilda.

He's expected to miss just the one game.

Goldstein has played in all 20 matches for the Kangaroos this season for a career total of 36 since arriving at Arden Street with selection No.37 overall at the 2006 national draft.

Goldstein's injury opens the door for veteran big man David Hale who has made just one appearance at AFL level since Round 11.

It's not inconceivable however that North will go into Sunday's clash with just the one ruckman, McIntosh.

The last time the Kangaroos played at Subiaco - against Fremantle in Round 10 this season - they played four rucks - McIntosh, Goldstein, Hale and Drew Petrie.
