Enright clear on War-Knock

Geelong's Corey Enright has escaped punishment for his desperate spoil on Robert Warnock which left the Carlton ruckman hospitalised with concussion.

Enright's arm struck Warnock to the side of the head as the Carlton big man was attempting to mark with the Blues trailing by three points with less than two minutes left.

Warnock was awarded a free kick for the contact and despite suffering the effects of the knock, decided to take the shot for goal. That decision proved a costly one, with Warnock missing the shot and costing the Blues victory.

Warnock then spent both Friday and Saturday night in hospital suffering from the after-effects of the blow, but the Match Review Panel determined the contact was not intentional and that Enright had eyes for the ball, while his other hand was held by Chris Judd. It was viewed as a legitimate spoiling attempt.

Five charges were laid from Round 9 action with no suspensions handed out.

Adam Goodes received just 66 points and a reprimand for his attempted trip on Hawthorn's Brent Guerra and as such is eligible for both the Brownlow Medal and Saturday's game against North Melbourne.

Richmond's Dylan Grimes copped a reprimand and 66 points for attempting to trip Essendon's Leroy Jetta, while Melbourne's Joel Macdonald has been offered a $900 fine for wrestling. Fremantle's Stephen Hill and Carlton's Brock McLean were charged with umpire contact.

St Kilda's Jason Blake's match day report for his contact with Melbourne's Clint Bartram was wiped off.
