Eagle winged: Kerr arrested after dispute

Daniel Kerr

WA Police claim Kerr was involved in a dispute with a man and woman in the Perth suburb of Glendalough late in the evening and the 31-year-old has been charged with two counts of acts intended to cause bodily harm

He will appear in Perth Magistrates Court on Thursday.

A brilliant midfielder during his 220-game career, Kerr’s time with West Coast was also littered with controversial incidents as well.

In 2002, he was allegedly involved in a fight with West Coast bad boy Ben Cousins that left the former Eagles skipper with a broken arm.

In 2004 Kerr was fined for forging a prescription for Valium while three years later he was fined for assaulting a taxi driver after jumping on the boot of the vehicle and ripping off the aerial before throwing it at the driver.

That same year, Kerr was also named by an ABC report as being part of a police investigation into illicit drugs, although no charges were ever laid.

Kerr retired at the end of 2013 but found himself in the news again earlier this year when he separated from wife Natasha Pozo.
