What happened?
Patrick Dangerfield was best on ground with 33 touches and five goals as improving Adelaide thrashed Greater Western Sydney by 65 points on Sunday.

After struggling to reach his own high standards across the opening four rounds, Dangerfield booted four of his goals before halftime in a performance that showed his superstar class.

The Giants started strongly but three late goals to the Crows handed them a 10-point lead at quarter time.

In the second term Adelaide put the foot down, and by half-time had blown the game apart with a seven goals to one quarter for a 49-point lead.

It was Adelaide's first win at its new home ground and follows last weekend's confidence-boosting victory over St Kilda.

Fallout
It was a polished performance from Adelaide, who now have two wins and three losses this year - the same return as the Giants.

But the down side is that Richard Douglas faces possible suspension for a behind-play bump which felled Giants captain Callan Ward in the second quarter.

Douglas' hip-and-shoulder shepherd on an unsuspecting Ward some 10 metres off the ball concussed the Giants' playmaker, who was substituted out of the game.

Hope he's in my fantasy team
Scott Thompson, in his 250th match, and youngster Matt Crouch were the fantasy kings with 37 and 28 disposals respectively. Dangerfield had 33 touches to go with his bag of goals.

For GWS, Stephen Coniglio (29 disposals) and Toby Greene (28 possessions) tried hard.

What's next
The Crows take on Western Bulldogs Etihad Stadium in the 1.10pm match next Sunday.

GWS has a six-day break before heading to Metricon Stadium to meet Gold Coast on Saturday afternoon.
