MORE: BREAKING: Adelaide Crows coach Phil Walsh murderedBREAKING: Second Gold Coast Suns player comes forward over drugs

While there are no confirmed reports that the match, or even the entire round will be postponed, there are murmurs that the Crows have told their players this morning that they will not be required to play this weekend.

The AFL has not released an official statement, but did say that there was no contingency plan for circumstances such as these, and that it would leave the decision to play this weekend in the hands of the Adelaide club.

Herald Sun footy writer Jon Ralph tweeted out saying that the game was in doubt.

The Crows first premiership captain, Mark Bickley has spoken on the issue, and believes that the game should be postponed.

“It would be highly, highly unlikely that the game would go ahead,” said Bickley, who believed that sport must take a back-seat to the human element in this terrible situation.

Walsh was murdered early on Friday morning, with his 26-year-old son charged with Walsh's murder.
