Carlton to play Cameron Wood against North Melbourne

The Blues have selected the former Brisbane Lions and Collingwood ruckman for their Friday night clash against North Melbourne after promoting him from the rookie list on Thursday.

Wood's last game was in Round 22, 2012, when he was still with the Magpies.  

He replaces Robert Warnock after he was outplayed by Swans opponent Mike Pyke. 

Carlton has also named Troy Menzel and Mitch Robinson, who has served a two-week suspension but Andrew Walker will miss with a knee injury and rookie Blaine Johnson has been dropped. 

Lachie Hansen has been cleared of concussion and will play for the high-flying Kangaroos, who also regain Jack Ziebell and Luke McDonald, with defender Aaron Mullett and midfielder Brad McKenzie omitted.   

The Dockers will rest Aaron Sandilands for their away clash against St Kilda, The Dockers will also be without the suspended Hayden Ballantyne as well as Clancee Pearce and Michael Apeness, who have been omitted. 

St Kilda has made four changes, with ruckman Billy Longer replacing big man Tom Hickey, who has a knee injury.  Josh Bruce, Brodie Murdoch and Josh Saunders are the other inclusions, with Cameron Shenton, Seb Ross and Sam Dunell omitted.   

GWS has four big names back to face Geelong, including former Cat Josh Hunt, Jonathan Patton, Tom Boyd and Adam Treloar.

Geelong has left out Mark Blicavs and Brad Hartman, bringing in Dawson Simpson and Mathew Stokes.

For the Sunday matches, Port Adelaide has dumped Kane Mitchell, while retiring veteran Dom Cassisi is among four inclusions for its match against Melbourne.

The Dees have dropped Matt Jones, with Jay Kennedy-Harris and Sam Blease named.

Western Bulldogs have included Ryan Griffen and Adam Cooney in their 25-man squad, while the Bombers regain Brendon Goddard and Michael Hibberd.
