However Petrie has already been sanctioned for his part in the scuffle, with MRP slapping the Kangaroos forward with a reprimand for unnecessary contact to the face of Lake.

If Petrie fights the case and loses he will be rubbed out for one game.

Lake's hearing will be Tuesday night.

Fresh off an upset win over Port Adelaide, Essendon's late charge at the top eight has been hurt by a one-match suspension offered to its best and fairest Brendon Goddard, for rough conduct against Port's Kane Cornes.

He risks a two-week ban should he opt to challenge the decision.

But Paul Chapman has been cleared of striking the Power's Robbie Gray.

West Coast forward Josh Kennedy has been offered a one-match suspension for rough conduct against Sydney's Zak Jones.

That penalty was originally a three-game ban, but it was reduced due to his three-year good record.

Brisbane Lions midfielder Tom Rockliff has also been suspended for one match.

He was found guilty of striking Alex Rance in the Lions' 25-point loss to Richmond

Due to his existing poor record and previous carry-over points, Rockliff will miss Saturday's clash with West Coast even if he submits an early plea.
