Collingwood have shored up their list by re-signing Steele Sidebottom, Luke Ball and Jarryd Blair on Wednesday to two-year-contract extensions.

Sidebottom officially announced the mass re-signing on Collingwood's The Club program on Wednesday night in a massive boost to the club, with all three midfielders now staying at the club until the end of the 2014 season.

"I'll be a Pie 'til the end of 2014, so good news for me," Sidebottom told The Club.

"I was never intending to go anywhere," the 22-year-old midfielder added when asked if any opposition teams had come knocking following his exceptional first half to the 2012 campaign.

"Obviously we've got a pretty close knit (group) at the club at the minute and I think I'll be mad to leave.

"Why did I do it now, I didn't really plan it I think, it's just how it's really worked out and I suppose now I'm just happy that it's done and dusted."

However, there still isn't any news on whether key forward Travis Cloke is any closer to putting pen to paper.

Sidebottom said he hoped the fact Ball and Blair were also staying would convince others to re-sign with the club in what may have been something of a hint to the big forward.

"It's massive to see them quality guys that are signing on, it can only help and other guys see them sign on and think that the club can only go forward and hopefully they can put pen to paper as well, pretty soon," he said.

"I think a lot of players play for success and the guys want to hang around with the group we've got 'cause it's obviously exciting times to come, so the more guys we can get to sign on now then hopefully we're going to have more success."
