Alastair Clarkson - Hawthorn senior coach (AFL)

Crimes: Took a swing at a Port Adelaide fan harassing him post game in April 2015 (see video below), punches hole in MCG coaches box wall during 2012 match against Collingwood.

Punishment: Hasn't been sanctioned yet for the swing at the Power fan, no punishment for punching MCG coaches box wall.

John Kosmina - Adelaide United senior coach (A-League)

Crime: Grabbed the throat of Melbourne Victory captain Kevin Muscat after being bowled over by the defender just off the field of play.

Punishment: Was sent to the stands immediately after the incident and then given a four-match ban when the incident was reviewed by the FFA.

 

Des Hasler - Manly Sea Eagles senior coach (NRL)

Crime: It is often said that Dessie is unhinged but the now-Canterbury Bulldogs coach ripped a door completely off its hinges during a half-time team talk in 2010.

Punishment: Dessie offered to pay for the door but not sure if he ever went through with the transaction.

 

Michael Cheika - Stade Francais & NSW Waratahs senior coach (Top 14/Super Rugby)

Crimes: Waratahs and Wallabies coach Michael Cheika is one fiery customer. He was found guilty of abusing match officials in 2011 when head coach of Stade Francais, he allegedly smashed a glass door in the coach's box at Canberra Stadium in 2014 and two weeks later verbally abused a television cameraman while he was sitting on the sideline during the Waratahs' Super Rugby clash with against the Sharks at Kings Park, Durban.

Punishments: Cheika was fined just under $15,000 AUD for his French blow up. The Brumbies sent him a bill for that glass door but it's unclear if it was ever paid. He was forced to cough up $6000 to cover legal costs and place on a suspended ban, which expires on August 31, for his brush with the cameraman.

Nathan Brown - St George Illawarra Dragons senior coach (NRL)

Crime: Down by two in a tight match against the Sea Eagles in 2003, Brown called an impromptu meeting on the sidelines and slapped playmaker Trent Barrett across the face - to the shock of his teammates standing beside.

Punishment:  No sanctions were dealt out to Brown but may have been quietly spoken to by the club.

Mick Malthouse - Collingwood senior coach (AFL)

Crime: After a fracas at quarter time against St. Kilda in 2010, Malthouse appeared to mouth "f****** rapist' in the direction of Saints goalsneak Stephen Milne. (Skip to 1:15 in video)

Punishment: Malthouse was fined $7500, publicly apologised to Milne and also reportedly personally said sorry to the former Saint by phone.

 

Eric Hollingsworth - Athletics Australia team coach

Crime: Hollingsworth took a public swipe at Australian athletics darling Sally Pearson, saying the team captain set a bad example to her fellow athletes by not appearing in a pre-Commonwealth Games camp.

Punishment: After initially being suspended, Hollingsworth eventually quit his post after intense media scrutiny.
