With 68 players to choose from, this was by no means an easy task, but the team selected was on the basis of each player being 100 percent fit.

As you can see it's a formidable line-up and would start favourites against AFL side if such a match could be organised.

B: Andrew Walker, Michael Johnson, Shaun Burgoyne
HB: Chris Yarran, Steven May, Jarrod Harbrow
C: Stephen Hill, Mathew Stokes, Allen Christensen
HF: Cyril Rioli, Lance Franklin, Steven Motlop
F: Chad Wingard, Adam Goodes, Lindsay Thomas
Foll: Paddy Ryder, Harley Bennell, Daniel Wells
I/C: Jon Griffin, Michael Walters, Brad Hill, Lewis Jetta

Notable absentees:
Eddie Betts, Courtenay Dempsey, Jeff Garlett, Danyle Pearce, Travis Varcoe, Curtly Hampton, Brandon Matera, Jay Kennedy-Harris, Jarman Impey, Shane Edwards, Sharrod Wellingham

The backline is fast and super attacking, but also has the tall players in Michael Johnson and Steven May to hold down the key posts.

The midfield is chock-full of elite ball-winners with Harley Bennell, Daniel Wells, Mathew Stokes, Stephen Hill and Allen Christensen all capable of matching it with anyone.

It is the forward line that makes this team really scary on paper. Lance Franklin and a fit Adam Goodes hold the key posts, and at their feet we have arguably the best four small forwards in the business.

Cyril Rioli and Chad Wingard are All Australians and Steven Motlop and Lindsay Thomas have both been selected in the 40-man preliminary squads.

Paddy Ryder is the starting ruck with Jon Griffin his back-up, while Michael Walters, Brad Hill and Lewis Jetta occupy the other three spots on the bench.

Of those to miss out, Eddie Betts is probably the most unlucky, but that forward line is too hard to break into!
