Angry Eddie McGuire unleashes on Sydney Swans

McGuire has constantly been outspoken about the cost-of-living-allowance that is given to the Sydney Swans to help attract players to the east coast.

With the Swans signing power forwards Lance Franklin and Kurt Tippett in the last two seasons, Eddie's insults and complaints have only grown louder.

Swans coach John Longmire has now refused to get involved with the post-season International rules side because McGuire is involved as chef de mission.

Comparing Eddie to controversial politician Clive Palmer during his pre-match address on Saturday, Sydney chairman Andrew Pridham took to twitter on Sunday night to slate McGuire for questioning his involvement in the club.

Eddie had stated that Pridham, who replaced Richard Colless at the start of the season, had only been involved with the Swans for 'five minutes'.

It does beg the question....are these continual outbursts from Eddie a sign that he has been involved in the game too long?

McGuire's fury wasn't just reserved to the Swans with entertainment mogul unhappy at an artwork image used by Sydney's Daily Telegraph - part of the News Ltd conglomerate that Eddie also works for with Fox Footy.

The image shows McGuire sitting on a wrecking ball with Palmer.

"Is that from News Ltd? I am glad I am the face of Fox Footy for them on Foxtel. That's good," Eddie said.

The story with the image was written by former Swans defender Neil Cordy, who Eddie also lined up with his cannon.

"That would be like 'Joffa' writing the match report for Collingwood," he said.
