Delisted gold: AFL trash and treasure market

Jarrad Waite

Has managed just 10 matches this season and Carlton's expected list overhaul could see the out-of-contract 31-year-old cast aside.

Possible suitor: Western Bulldogs

The Dogs have lacked key forward depth for almost 20 years. They took a punt on Barry Hall during 2010 and 2011 and it worked, so why not Waite?
The young Bulldogs midfield needs to be rewarded for their hard work up the field, and Stewart Crameri doesn't cut it as a stationary option.
Waite's age and injury problems are a turn off but he's played just 72 matches in the past six seasons and may get one more season out of his body.

Clinton Jones

Cast your mind back to 2009-10 when Jones was the AFL's No.1 tagger. Now he's allowed to chase the footy and his ugly skills are exposed.  The 30-year-old has been in and out of the rebuilding Saints team and is on the chopping block.

Possible suitor: Fremantle

Like many St Kilda players, Jones' best days were under Ross Lyon's guidance. He was recruited from South Fremantle so he may be open to heading back to Perth.  He's rarely injured and has maintained his pace. The Dockers could use his September experience as a genuine run-with player. It could win them a flag.

Leroy Jetta

The small forward offers X-factor but has managed just two games in 2014. His time might be up at the Bombers.

Possible suitor: West Coast

The Eagles desperately need an injection of pace. The 26-year-old is a West Aussie and could prosper on the long expanses at Patersons Stadium.

Stefan Martin

After five seasons at Melbourne, Martin has tried to reboot his career at the Lions. The problem is that he's third in line behind ruck teammates Matthew Leuenberger and Trent West.

Possible suitor: Collingwood

Injuries to Leuenberger and West have opened the door for Martin at Brisbane, and the 27 year-old has impressed in the past six weeks.
With Ben Hudson set to hang up his boots, the Magpies need to boost their ruck stocks and could come knocking.
The Lions will be happy to discard, but may seek a trade if Martin keeps playing well in the next month.

Sam Fisher

The Saints almost traded the 32-year-old to GWS last year. List manager Chris Pelchen has been brutal in his rebuilding at Seaford and is unlikely to retain the out-of-contract key defender. If Fisher does stay at St Kilda, it will be because there are too many others on the departure road.

Possible suitor: Port Adelaide

Pushing for a flag next year, the Power could do with another key defender. This is evidenced by the past month, with injuries to Alipate Carlile and Jackson Trengove crippling Port's backline.
Fisher is from Adelaide and his solid grand final experience could be useful at Alberton, providing his body is up for the fight.

Jake King

Manager Glenn Archer says King thinks he can go around for one more year. Richmond is not so sure.

Possible suitors: Greater Western Sydney, Brisbane Lions, Gold Coast

Tough man King is good for team spirit and gets the fans excited. If he wants to go around again perhaps he could jump on his hog, leave his mates behind and head north.

Patrick McGinnity

Close watchers of West Coast know McGinnity, 24, offers honest grunt but Adam Simpson might not see it that way as he makes the Eagles list his own.

Possible suitor: St Kilda

The Saints midfield depth is the worst in the AFL and without Lenny Hayes there will be plenty of hard ball to be won.
