A lot can happen in a year but God they will take some stopping. Very vey impressive. The Collingwood team of 1927-1930 was labelled 'The Machine'. Hawthorn are machine like with a bit of magic added. Can they be stopped? And who can stop them?

The debate that has raged off field since the not-guilty verdict was handed down to Essendon just days before Round 1, has continued online this week. It seems as though no matter the official decision, this is not an issue footy fans will let go of anytime soon, particularly old rivals Hawthorn.

Quinny88 – FanFooty: Wouldn't be surprised to see Geelong win comfortably. They have barly lost a game at Simmonds in a decade and although Freo are stiff competition and play Simmonds well, they played a very high intensity game last week and Geelong will be out to prove a point. I'm tipping the cats.
However, this prophetic fan laid an assessment on the table prior to Round 1, for all to see down at the Catery.
Janus – BigFooty: Rebuilding time for the Cats, and they are only going to slide further south from here. I've maintained that until guys like Bartel and Johnson retire, then Geelong is still living off of past glories. All those close wins from last season will now be close losses as teams finally wake up to the fact that this Cats team isn't one to be feared and get beaten before they even take the field.
There is however, one thing that Aussie Rules fans are still agreeing on – a strong dislike/hatred of Caroline Wilson.
