Walker has increased his training workload as he looks to build towards the coming season but suffered swelling in his right knee after a session on Monday.

Speaking to the club's website, Crows football manager Phil Harper confirmed the 23-year-old underwent a scan but insisted it was a 'precautionary' measure.

"That's not uncommon with these sort of knee injuries but it was decided to have a scan to check," Harper said.

"The knee is structurally sound and we are confident that there will be no setback to his rehabilitation program."

The forward hasn't played since rupturing his ACL against Carlton in round five last year with the Crows signing former Cats premiership player James Podsiadly to cover his absence.
