The two-time premiership star ran from the ground with his left shoulder held by trainers - with a dislocation appearing to be visible.

By the grimace on Ablett's face, you knew this was a serious situation as the commentators waxed lyrical with how big a story it was.

Soon after, the Suns sent out a press release confirming the shoulder dislocation and that Ablett will be going for scans on Monday.

These will be some of the most highly-publicised scans in AFL history.

Ablett has been raging favourite for the Brownlow medal after consistently performing all season.

We have predicted in our weekly Brownlow medal article that Ablett currently leads Collingwood's Scott Pendlebury by six votes.

Obviously the scan results on Monday will make the situation clearer but there is a good chance Ablett will be out for a significant time.

Who do you think is Brownlow favourite now?

There is possibiliy that Ablett may have enough votes in the bank already to take it right to the wire.

Also, spare a thought for all the fantasy coaches that have Ablett in their team.

Most coaches have the two-time Brownlow medal winner in their side, but a lot of coaches don't have many trades left.
