Biography

Sidebottom has played 61 out of 70 games for the Pies since debuting against St Kilda in Round 7 2009 in what turned out to be an 88-point flogging for Collingwood. Flourished in 2010, missing only one game due to a calf strain and proved he belongs in the blue-chip midfield through his slick disposal on both sides of his body. A tenacious tackler, Sidebottom's flexibility also allows him to push forward with his 25-possession, two-goal effort in the Grand Final replay seeing him narrowly miss out on the Norm Smith. Improved further in 2011 to average 19 disposals while finishing the season ranked third at the club for tackles and fourth in goal assists, marks and handballs. One of the club's real big game players.
