By Jarrad Grant's own admission, he had a disappointing season last year, struggling to find consistency in the forward line. However, realising the need for the Bulldogs to restructure their forward line, he has put in an extended pre-season, adding bulk and working on his fitness to give himself every chance of success in 2012. The Bulldogs are keen to see him develop his leading abilities and have signed him for another two years to see him fulfill this.
