Polkinghorne is an exciting prospect either across the midfield and half forward playing in all 22 games for the Lions in 2011, kicking 14 goals. Polkinghorne is a very important player for the Lions, as his fearless play for the ball comes in handy when the Lions are on the march towards attack. He already figures in the Lions calculations for their best 22 in 2012 and will continue to impose himself in the Lions line up and be a pest for opposition clubs.
