Amon Buchanan played a pivotal role in Sydney's 2005 premiership, famously kicking the final goal. He became a key part of their forward set up until being traded at the end of 2009. He had a disappointing 2011, managing only five games spending a majority of the time in the Brisbane reserves however, he did win back his spot in the team late in the season. Buchanan needs to hit the ground running in 2012, securing a spot in the senior team from the start of the season and holding onto it.
