A veteran of the Sydney midfield brigade and part of their 2005 premiership, Bolton's tenacity at the contest and all-round bravery can never be questioned. An extremely ferocious tackler, Bolton burst out of the blocks in 2011 on his way to setting an AFL record 19 tackles in his outing against West Coast in Round 3. Ended the year ranked sixth in the AFL for tackles but not before surpassing ex-captain Brett Kirk as the most prolific tackler in AFL history. Remarkably missed his first game since Round 13 2005 when a knee injury while warming up for Round 16 against Gold Coast broke a sequence of 145 straight appearances.
