Biography

David Mundy has come a long way in the past three seasons and is now one of the prime movers in the competition. His career highlight to date was playing 124 games in row from his debut until he was a late withdrawal in round 17 2010. That year was his best season and he was recognised by being named in the 40-man squad for the All-Australian team, along with winning Fremantle's Best and Fairest. Mundy also had a dream start to 2011, averaging 26 possessions a game in his first 10 matches, before suffering a terrible high ankle strain during an innocuous incident in the Round 12 clash with Essendon. Mundy returned for one game, late in the season but should never have played that encounter, with coach Ross Lyon hopeful he can regain his form and touch this season after an injury-interrupted pre-season.
