Biography

Up there with the best in the business, Collingwood vice-captain Pendlebury has a range of skills (and a list of achievements) most midfielders only dream of. Able to win a contested ball with ease, Pendlebury's calmness under pressure in space sees him as almost impossible to tag. Capable of bursting through packs with a turn of his hips, Pendlebury also complements his offensive prowess with a hunger and passion when it comes to tackling. Named All-Australian in 2010 in a season which saw him poll 21 Brownlow votes, win his first Anzac Day medal and finish with the Norm Smith Medial in the Grand Final replay, all at the tender age of 22. 2011 was no less spectacular as Pendlebury averaged 29 disposals in 25 games, kicked 24 goals and finished equal-third in the Brownlow count. A genuine superstar of the game.
