After playing at least 20 games in each of his past 10 seasons prior to 2010, injury struck for Scarlett last season. He played 18 games and conceded 20 goals, continuing his role on one of the opposition's best forwards each week. Despite playing as a defender, he once again demonstrated an attacking mindset, averaging 18 disposals and four rebound 50s per game. Entering his 14th season in the AFL, Scarlett is due to play his 250th AFL match in Round 5 this season.
