Maybe it's time for Fremantle to offer coach Mark Harvey that contract extension.
Make no mistake the Dockers are coming and if they beat Geelong this week at Subiaco, even their loyal fans may have to start singing that awful theme song of theirs.
With the Dockers now finally looking capable of becoming regular winners maybe they should just scrap that mongrel of a song and replace it with TNT by AC/DC given the amount of Acca Dacca fans down Fremantle way - the resting place of the immortal Bon Scott.
The Dockers, fresh from their first win over Essendon in Victoria for 12 years, can beat the Cats this week and if they do that it will mean they will have won the first three games of the season for the first time in their history.
The Cats might have won 65 of their past 72 games and are clearly the benchmark team of the competition but not only do they have to fly to Perth but they will be battered and bruised and will be coming off only a six-day break after that epic Easter Monday win over Hawthorn.
At the start of the season everyone was sharpening their knives for Harvey and he is the only coach that is not contracted for next year.
My spies tell me there was even some palace intrigue going on at Fremantle, a few plotters on the inside, but winning soon silences the doubters.
The Dockers performed well in the NAB Cup and have now won their first two games and Harvey is coaching well and the improvement is there for all to see.
But it helps when you have the game's most intimidating weapon at your disposal.
Forget about Jonathan Brown and Nick Riewoldt, just how do you stop big 'Laurie'
Sandilands?
I have spent a bit of time helping Sandilands with his ruck work over the years and I can tell you from first hand experience he is just a massive man.
The Dockers' fans now refer to him simply as '211' in reference to his height but after watching him destroy the Bombers it's obvious he is just as dangerous in attack these days as in the ruck.
He moves like an expensive block of flats and he is such an imposing target in attack that if you painted him white you could mistake him for the goalpost.
And for a man of his size he is also a great kick for goal and is ready to take the competition by storm this season.
And maybe in the process he will not only lead the Dockers to a rare finals appearance but also ensure Harvey gets that contract extension and gets the last laugh on those that were writing him off unfairly coming into the season.
As for my prediction last week about the Magpies and jumping on their bandwagon, well I can report I now have a busted shoulder from having jumped off after their lucky escape against Melbourne.
The Magpies were as disgraceful as you can be in victory and coach Mick Malthouse will be furious with his players who looked like they fell for the old trap of taking their opponents lightly.
Talk about not being prepared, the Magpies played like a bride that had not got her hair done on her wedding day and they deserved to lose rather than escape with a one-point win.
