Adelaide list manager David Noble has again reiterated the club's stance on Kurt Tippett in the wake of Brisbane's pursuit of the key forward during trade week.
The Lions were keen to land the key position player, who is originally from Southport in Queensland.
Brisbane list manager Rob Kerr said the club put forward a few different deals, but the Crows wouldn't budge.
"We put a couple of very good offers to Adelaide and Adelaide kept coming back saying 'unless Redden or Polec is involved there is no chance' and there was absolutely no chance that those players would be involved," he said on Monday afternoon.
Noble was still standing firm when asked about the 24-year-old and hopes to have him still at the club beyond next season when his contract runs out.
"As I said before Kurt Tippett was never on the table, I want to put that to bed right now," he said.
"From our side of things Kurt is a contracted required player at our footy club and we've held that line all through the week."
"We'll work our way through that (Tippett's contract), we've got to back our system in to retain Kurt Tippett."
"We understand that we need to do some work on our retention program with two or three players deciding to move."
On the surface Adelaide look like one of the big winners from trade week with the acquisition of Tom Lynch, Lewis Johnston, Josh Jenkins, Luke Brown and highly-rated 17-year-old Brad Crouch in the rookie draft.
"We were specific to target what we felt we needed to. Lynch is that key utility for us at both ends of the ground, Johnston key position defender and Josh Jenkins we're really excited about to bolster up some of the ruck stocks," Noble said.
"We saw some great potential about what Josh was doing in the VFL this year and pretty excited getting him to getting to Adelaide."
"As we've always said this is about a two-year strategy for us moving forward and we've been able to kick off that first part in this seven days really well."
Crouch, who was taken by the Crows with pick two in the mini-draft, was delighted to have found a club and can't wait to begin pre-season training.
"Just rapt to be a part of it and know exactly what's going to happen. More than happy to go there, as soon as you know you're nominating for the mini-draft you can go anyway so I was absolutely rapt to go to any AFL club and get a crack as a 17-year-old when only two kids can do it," he said.
"I think it's going to be huge, in terms of the development of myself and Jaeger (O'Meara) as well, it's a huge advantage on all the other kids that are going to play AFL footy in 2013."
New coach Brenton Sanderson said Crouch will do a lot of development work with the coaching group and play in the SANFL throughout 2012 in order to have been perfectly prepared for his first season in the AFL.
