Swans v Cats, snippets
TURNING POINT: Having conceded the opening major of the third term to allow the Swans within 16-points, the Cats shifted gears with five goals in 10 minutes to all but seal victory midway through the penultimate quarter.
STAR MAN: Gary Ablett was at his brilliant best throughout claiming a game-high 32 disposals and adding three goals to his season tally.
ABSOLUTE SHOCKER: Marty Mattner's short kick-in early in the opening stanza was intercepted by Mathew Stokes who made no mistake from point-blank range to hand the Cats the early advantage.
WHAT A GOAL!: Too numerous to mention from the Cats but Gary Ablett's second of the night on the run from outside 50 to halt the Swans' momentum was as well timed as it was brilliant.
UNSUNG HERO: Tom Harley played a typical captain's knock defusing several Sydney raids in the opening two terms when the game was still a legitimate contest - but the captain was not alone in what was a complete team performance from the defending premiers.
