Fremantle have added another experienced coach to their ranks with West Coast legend Peter Sumich joining Ross Lyon and his team.
Sumich, a dual premiership player with the Eagles, has been an assistant at the club for the past 10 years and is highly regarded among the coaching ranks.
The 43-year-old is set to have a role involved in the Dockers' forward line and said the time was right to leave West Coast.
"It's the right decision and the right time to accept this appointment," Sumich said.
"I'm really looking forward to working with new senior coach Ross Lyon."
"I'm also relishing both the prospect of such a significant change and the challenges that lay ahead."
Fremantle general manager of operations Chris Bond was delighted to have Sumich on board.
"Peter will be a valuable addition to our coaching staff," Bond said.
"With more than 20 years as a player and a coach at the elite level, including premiership success, Peter will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Fremantle Football Club."
Sumich played 150 games for West Coast from 1989-1997 and was seven times the club's leading goal kicker.
