Setback for Cousins

Setback for Cousins

Richmond midfielder Ben Cousins is back in hospital to undergo further tests after failing to recover from stomach cramps.

The former West Coast skipper was last week hospitalised as he was suffering from stomach pain and kept overnight but sent home the following day.

However, Cousins has been unable to shake off the illness and has been re-admitted for further tests after being initially diagnosed with 'slight gastric inflammation'.

"Ben is under the care of a gastroenterologist and at this stage it looks as if he will stay overnight," said Tigers club doctor Greg Hickey.

"Unfortunately Ben’s symptoms from last week have not yet fully resolved so we have asked for some more tests to be performed."
