Power v Dockers - snippets

TURNING POINT: Fremantle looked gone when Port came from 36 points down to take the lead 12 minutes into the third term. But the Dockers responded within two minutes thanks to Chris Tarrant's mark and major from 50 metres. It triggered a dramatic revival which saw them kick five of the next six goals and regain control of the contest.

STAR MAN: Rhys Palmer continued his stellar season with a 31-possession game against the Power. A late inclusion for Matthew Pavlich, Palmer was part of an effective midfield brigade that quickly moved the ball into the Dockers' attack.

ABSOLUTE SHOCKER: Justin Westhoff and Daniel Motlop both displayed shocking decision making late in the first half. Westhoff marked 25 metres from goal and should've taken a shot for his third goal. Instead he looped a handball over to Motlop who kicked the ball out of bounds after being put under pressure by the Dockers' defenders. Motlop was left looking goal hungry and never should've called for the ball.

WHAT A GOAL! Mark Johnson was at his bullocking best when he scored the Dockers' seventh goal during the second quarter. The former Bomber took the direct route through heavy traffic and then kept the ball low for a well-deserved major.

UNSUNG HERO: Fremantle won numerous centre clearances thanks to the towering Aaron Sandilands. He gave his onballers first use of the ball with 35 hit outs.
