Port Adelaide have finalised their coaching panel with former player Josh Carr, former Crow Shaun Rehn and Brad Gotch joining the club as assistants to Matthew Primus.
Power premiership player Carr and Rehn, who won two flags with the Crows and has previous coaching experience at Brisbane Lions, will share midfield coaching duties.
Gotch will be in charge of Port's defence, while Garry Hocking will continue his role in working with the forward line.
"We've brought together a group of passionate football people who will work as a team and develop both our playing group and each other," Primus said.
"Together, we look forward to working with the players who are mostly in an age group that requires important development and we have a team of coaches who are highly committed to doing that."
"These guys all understand football, but they bring different experiences and different opinions from different environments. Most importantly they have enormous work ethic."
Carr, who was vice-captain of the club's 2004 premiership success, returns to Alberton a year after retiring from his 200-game career.
"I always wanted to coach, but it has been good to have a bit of time away," Carr said.
"It's great to be getting back into the team environment."
"What really excites me about this opportunity is the chance to work with a young group and to be part of building it up and teaching it how to achieve and experience the success I was able to experience."
Rehn returns to AFL coaching having spent three years in charge of West Adelaide and then two as an assistant to Leigh Matthews at the Lions.
"The desire to coach again after a year in the media has become quite overwhelming," Rehn said.
"The opportunity that has been created at Port Adelaide is one that I had a very strong desire and determination to secure."
"I am thrilled to be involved with a young and exciting list and to be a part of an exciting team of coaches to assist Matthew."
Gotch, who played 96 VFL/AFL games with Fitzroy and St Kilda, and 11 with Port Adelaide in 1985 under coach Russell Ebert, has an impressive 17-year coaching history, including stints at Collingwood, Western Bulldogs and Melbourne.
Port have also increased their medical and conditioning resources, appointing the club's first full-time physiotherapist and full-time assistant head fitness coach.
