Prized Greater Western Sydney recruit Jonathon Patton has returned to Australia following successful treatment on his troublesome knee.
Patton flew to Sweden for treatment on his left knee after he hurt it playing in the under 18 competition for the Eastern Rangers late last year.
But the No.1 draft pick from November's draft is back in Australia and is still on track to be available for selection at the start of May.
"We want to give all our players, including our draftees, every chance to fulfil their potential and we are pleased that we sent Jonathon to Sweden and he underwent this procedure," GWS football manager Graeme Allan said.
"While we won't do anything to rush him or jeopardize his long term future, we remain confident that he will be able to resume full training in early April and be available for selection in May."
Patton will now undergo rehabilitation before resuming training on a modified program.
