A day after losing Michael Rischitelli to Gold Coast, Brisbane have re-signed vice-captain Jed Adcock, rising star nominee Todd Banfield and young defender James Hawksley.
The Lions announced the signings on Wednesday morning and the club confirmed more are expected to be finalised in the coming weeks.
At 24, Adcock is the youngest member of the Lions' leadership group and is regarded as a future captain of the club.
Injury ruined his 2010 season as he managed just nine games, but he remains of the key players for the future with two top-three finishes in the best and fairest count to his name.
Twenty-year-old Banfield was one of just six Lions to play every game this year and ranked third on the goal-kicking tally with 27 goals as well as picking up a rising star nomination in Round 6 for his three-goal performance against the Swans.
Key defender Hawksley, 21, has played 22 matches in four seasons with the club.
"It's important for the club to sure up its young players," Lions national talent manager Rob Kerr said.
"Obviously Jed has been a key component of our side for a number of years now and we see both Todd and James playing a big role at the Lions in the long-term."
"We're also close to finalising details on some other player contracts and look forward to announcing these additional signings in the coming weeks."
