Hasleby to miss

Hasleby to miss

General soreness has cost Fremantle the services of veteran midfielder Paul Hasleby for Sunday's crunch clash with the Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium.

Named initially in the Dockers' extended squad on Thursday, Hasleby has been left out of the final 22 along with Justin Bollenhagen and Byron Schammer.

The Fremantle selectors have settled on four changes for the match which will determine fourth place on the AFL ladder.

Jesse Crichton, Clancee Pearce, Antoni Grover and Nick Suban come in for injured quartet Kepler Bradley (knee), Ryan Crowley (knee), Alex Silvagni (groin) and Hasleby (soreness).

For the Western Bulldogs, Barry Hall and Jordan Roughead replace Andrejs Everitt and Nathan Eagleton.

Everitt and Eagleton have been named as emergencies for the Dogs along with Dylan Addison.

There are six changes at Port Adelaide - only two of them compulsory - for Sunday's Showdown with the Crows, but the Power selectors still couldn't find room for veteran defender Chad Cornes.

Port appears stronger for the inclusion of Matt Thomas, Travis Boak, Alipate Carlile, Daniel Stewart, Robbie Gray and Andrew Moore.

They replace Daniel Motlop (suspended), the injured Steven Salopek (shoulder) and four players - Jay Nash, Scott Harding, Jason Davenport and Jackson Trengove - who've been dropped.

Cornes, Trengove and Jasper Pittard are Port's emergencies.

The Adelaide selectors have nominated Tony Armstrong, Nathan Bock and Jason Porplyzia to replace veteran pair Simon Goodwin and Andrew McLeod who pulled out on Friday because of ankle and knee injuries respectively.

Phil Davis has been omitted despite winning the Round 16 AFL Rising Star nomination for his shut down job on Geelong forward Cameron Mooney in last Friday night's win over the Cats.

The Demons and Swans have made just the one change apiece for their match at the MCG on Sunday.

For Melbourne, Addam Maric replaces Matthew Bate, while the Lewis Jetta returns to the Sydney line-up for the injured Nick Smith.

Phew!! Glad I re-read that. For a moment, I read the first word with an 'i' and a 't' in the middle.
