Port Adelaide have announced a downsized leadership group which will be spearheaded by Domenic Cassisi for a fourth year in a row.
Cassisi is now set to become the equal-second longest serving skipper in the Power's history, alongside champion Gavin Wanganeen who led the club from 1997-2000, behind current coach Matthew Primus (2001-2005).
The Power have cut its total of on-field leaders from seven to five for 2012.
Dean Brogan, who now finds himself at the GWS Giants, exits the leadership group along with defenders Troy Chaplin and Alipate Carlile.
Young gun Hamish Hartlett is the new face in the group and he will join Cassisi, Travis Boak, Jay Schulz and Jackson Trengove who all retained their spots.
Primus was thrilled with the composition of the 2012 Port Adelaide leadership group.
"We've got a terrific leadership group assembled and now we're looking forward to developing and supporting them as quick as we can so that they can continue to drive and uphold the culture and values of this football club moving forward," he said.
"Dom (Cassisi) keeps developing his leadership skills every year and he really stood tall both on and off the field last season in what was a very challenging year."
"He's got the ultimate respect of the playing group, the coaches and everyone involved at our club so it was a unanimous decision and we're looking forward to supporting him as he continues to grow and develop in the role."
As for 21-year-old pair Hartlett and Trengove who have a combined total of 72 games experience between them, Primus said: "Jackson was voted onto our leadership group last year and has developed his leadership qualities and earned another spot on our leadership group this season."
"The group really values the way Jackson goes about his footy and he has an ability to connect well with the younger players in our group."
"And Hamish is another who has really stepped up this pre-season and his peers have acknowledged and identified this by voting him into the leadership group."
"He now feels more comfortable about his footy and has the confidence to really drive his team-mates very hard at training so that they get the best out of themselves."
The Power kick off their NAB Cup campaign against Adelaide and Carlton at AAMI Stadium on February 26
